Robert Edmonson, a sophomore linebacker from Houston, Texas, is majoring in Criminal Justice. He previously attended Shadow Creek High School.
Kevin Hart is Robert’s favorite entertainer and enjoys Roll Bounce as his all-time favorite movie. Chicken wings are his go-to comfort food, while Christmas is his favorite holiday, cherished for the cold weather and festive spirit.
Outside of football, Robert enjoys bowling and playing a little golf, activities that offer him relaxation and fun. His game day ritual involves listening to church music before every game, a practice that helps him center himself and prepare mentally.
Robert identifies staying committed as one of the greatest challenges for athletes today, emphasizing the need for dedication to both training and personal development. His most memorable moment in sports is simply being able to play the game for as long as he has, reflecting his deep appreciation for the sport.
Looking ahead, Robert aims to earn his degree within the next five years and hopes to pursue a career as a professional athlete. He chose Prairie View A&M University for its HBCU experience and the strong sense of brotherhood within the team, valuing the supportive and tight-knit community it offers.
