Biography
Guillermo García Rodríguez, a graduate student and kicker at Prairie View A&M University, hails from Dickinson, TX. With a major in Kinesiology, Guillermo brings his expertise and precision from his previous stints at Dickinson High School and Oklahoma Baptist University to the Panthers.
A fan of Andrew Tate and captivated by the epic sci-fi drama Interstellar, Guillermo enjoys Mexican food and considers Christmas his favorite holiday for its family gatherings. His hobbies are as diverse as his interests, ranging from fishing and hunting to driving ATVs, working on his truck, and spending quality time with loved ones.
On game days, Guillermo follows a calming ritual of relaxation, trusting in his training, and savoring the moment. He recognizes that many athletes today struggle with anxiety and concerns about the future, which can detract from their performance.
One of Guillermo’s standout moments came with a game-winning field goal against Alcorn University, a memorable achievement that showcased his clutch performance under pressure. Looking ahead, he hopes to be either playing professional football or pursuing a career as a secret service agent or state trooper in Texas. His dream job remains playing pro football.
Guillermo chose Prairie View A&M University to stay closer to home, allowing his family to attend his games and support him more directly.
