Efren Andres Jasso, hailing from Houston, TX, is a dedicated and talented athlete currently making his mark at Prairie View A&M University. A sophomore majoring in Marketing and Accounting, Efren's journey in sports began at Ce King High School, where he developed a deep passion for football. His athletic prowess and commitment to the game have been a defining aspect of his life.

Outside of his athletic career, Efren enjoys a variety of hobbies including playing musical instruments, hanging out with friends, and working out. His favorite movie is "Superbad," and he loves indulging in carne asada and protein bowls. Christmas holds a special place in his heart, not only for the festive cheer but also for the opportunity it brings to return to Mexico and reunite with family.

On game days, Efren follows a ritual of intense preparation, which includes praying fervently and listening to his favorite music through AirPods while warming up. He believes that the biggest challenge for today’s athletes is balancing the demanding schedules of games and practices with their personal lives.

One of Efren's most memorable moments in sport was meeting his teammates in the specialists' room, where he forged strong connections and chemistry with them. Looking ahead, his five-year goal is to own a private warehouse gym in Houston, blending his passion for sports with business aspirations. Ultimately, Efren dreams of pursuing a career that bridges his love for sports with his business acumen.

Efren chose Prairie View A&M University for the chance to continue playing football while staying relatively close to home. The combination of athletic opportunity and proximity to his roots made it the perfect fit for his academic and athletic journey.
