Carlos Francisco Villagomez Jr., a graduate student , kicker and punter at Prairie View A&M University, is from Richmond, TX and majors in Business Management. Carlos previously attended George Ranch High School.
Carlos is a fan of Youngboy and enjoys the humor of Superbad and the adventure of Shrek, which he counts as his favorite movies. He has a diverse palate, savoring Mexican food, burgers, wings, and Chinese cuisine. Halloween is his favorite holiday, celebrated for its fun and festive spirit. His hobbies include hitting the gym, perfecting his kicking technique, and enjoying great food.
On game days, Carlos follows a focused ritual that includes praying, visualizing his performance, and listening to music to get in the right mindset. He identifies mental health as one of the greatest challenges facing athletes today, emphasizing the importance of maintaining psychological well-being.
One of Carlos’s most memorable moments in sports was kicking the game-winning field goal against Texas Southern, a highlight that stands out in his career. Looking ahead, he aims to earn his master’s degree and secure a chance to play in the NFL. His dream job is to be a professional NFL kicker.
