CLEARWATER, Fla. --Prairie View A&M ran into a buzzsaw in the circle Friday as sophomore Brianna Copeland tossed a no-hitter for Indiana, leading the Hoosiers over the Lady Panthers 5-1.
Sophomore Cailin Massey (0-1) started and took the loss in the circle for Prairie View A&M (0-1). Junior Jerrica Rojas was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going three shutout innings without allowing a hit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 5-0, the Lady Panthers first put runs on the board in the sixth inning. Junior Destinee Smith came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M and get them on the board. The Lady Panthers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
