RESULTS
HOUSTON - Preston Woodard and Pierre Shepherd led the Prairie View A&M men's track team as the duo finished first and third in their respective events at the Houston Indoor Invitational and Multis this past weekend.
Woodard continued his impressive string of triple jump performances as he jumped a career-best mark of 15.64 (51-3.75) meters to win the event. This marks Woodard's second win of the season in the event as his mark ranks 12th nationally at this point.
Shepherd jumped 6-10.75 this past weekend to place third overall in the high jump. This was Shepherd's best indoor mark of his career and highest finish of the season.
On the track, the Panthers had a solid effort in the 5,000-meter run as the trio of Abel Simie, Philip Thomas and Errol Hampton finished 4-5-6.
