In light of the conditions caused by wildfires burning in Montgomery, Grimes, and Waller counties, barbeque grills along with any type of outdoor cooking will not be allowed on the campus of Prairie View A&M this weekend. These rules extend to tailgating activities planned for this weekend's football contest versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff scheduled for 6 p.m. at Blackshear Field. Violators will be ticketed and removed immediately.
As a reminder, Waller in under a burn ban which has been in place since April 2011. The ban prohibits any outdoor burning. A violation of the ban is a Class "C" misdemeanor, punishable for up to a $500 fine.
